Eastman View No.2 8x10 View Camera w/Tripod This auction is for an Eastman View No.2 8x10 View Camera, with 2 lens boards and extension rail. (Camera pictured with metal lens board with Copal 0 size hole.  Alternate lens boards is original wood, well scratched with 2¾" mounting hole.)  Camera is in very good condition, with clean bellows and ground glass.  No obvious light leaks detected, but not tested with film.  Camera needs some cleaning and refurbishing, but is solid with no cracks or splits in wood joins.  Wood has scratches, brass is tarnished.  One of the thin wood flanges along the rail side is chipped, but this has not effected function.  Geared rise/fall works properly.  Gears focusing along rail is a bit stiff, but will probably improve with a through cleaning.  Ground glass is clean without damage.  Focusing back can be rotated for horizontal/vertical.  Previous owner taped the back in place to ensure it would not accidently fall out (note black strips in pics below).  Extension Rail (13" length) also solid without cracks or damage, gear track good and wood just scratched with tarnished brass.  "Eastman View No.2 - Improved Model of Century View and Empire State No.2" Included tripod is contemporary to the camera (no markings), and works as pictured.  The top mounting platform flips vertically, but one of the brass supports is broken, so needs repair.  Overall, the tripod is in fair to poor condition, but functional.  A great working camera, just needs some love to become beautiful!       Questions?  We are available to answer your questions Tuesday-Saturday, 9a.m - 4:00p.m. (Pacific Time Zone) Email us : ebay@kcamera.com  or Ask seller a question      Toll-Free Phone: 1-888-485-7447  - Ask for Jonathan!   Terms of Sale   By bidding on this auction you agree to these AUCTION TERMS: Every effort is made to be accurate in the description of products offered for sale.  Make sure you ask your questions prior to bidding.
